So I'm gonna write this sort of compared to my current SLR the Nikon D50. Durr So here's another picture of the D90 (without the mb-80 grip). So based on Nikon's website and tech specs the D90 has
- 12.3 megapixel DX-format CMOS sensor(D50 6.1mp)
- Continuous shooting @ 4.5 fps
- first DSLR with HD movie mode (24fps w/ sound @720p) enhanced by NIKKOR interchangeable lens
- Low noise ISO sensitivity fromm 200 to 3200 (compared to my D50 up 1600)
- 3-inch super density LCD monitor (2" or 2.5" on my D50)
- Built-in image sensor cleaning (D50 none whatsoever)
- 11 point AF system
- One button live view
- Nikon 3d matrix metering II w/ scene recognition system
- Comprehensive exposure control
- D-Lighting(tames high-contrast situations in real time)
- In-Camera Image editing
- GPS geo tagging optional
From what I think obviously it beats my 4 year old D50. So for how much it costs i think its pretty much worth its money. I like the fact that there is no auto-focus during movie mode because it allows me to add cinematic shots to whatever im shooting.
So what I would want to get with the D90 would be:
- BM-10 lcd monitor cover (tired of getting my screen oily and scratched up)
- Of course another battery
- MB-80 Multi power battery pack
- New Flash? Possibly the SB900 but thats probably after the camera and some lens
- Either: wireless remote or remote cord
- probably a Sigma 8mm f/3.5 fisheye
- a good telephoto lens
- a better tripod
- and the list goes on...
who cares right..i just keep babling on. If someone else is really reading this, do they happen to know if I could use my current sb800 as the control unit and possibly a sb600 as the slave. I've read it somewhere but totally lost it. I dont want to have to purchase a su-800. Damn I have a lot of money that I need to save....
